Welcome to JAPAN LANDSCAPE CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION

Who We Are and What We Do

JLCA is a national organization representing contractors in the landscaping industry. Our goal is to support improvements and new developments in all areas of the landscaping profession. We represent Japan's landscape contractors though a branch network spanning 47 prefectures and are a recognized member of Association Internationale des Productueurs de l'Horticulture (AIPH).


Preserving the global environment and enhancing the quality of our surroundings are important themes for everyone. JLCA tackles these issues through a variety of activities in Japan and overseas, all of them supporting the creation of scenic areas and better living conditions abundant in greenery.

JLCA History

Apr. 1965

Japan Landscape Contractors Union established as non-profit organization.

Nov. 1971

Ministry of Construction grants status as corporate entity JAPAN LANDSCAPE CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION established.

Feb. 1972

Reported to Construction Minister in accordance with Clause 33, Article 27 of Construction Industry Law.

2012

Converted entity to a general incorporated association.

Membership Requirement

Prospective members must already hold a Landscape Contractor Permit for Japan.
